People with onychomycosis (foot fungus) can treat their feet by soaking their feet in a bleach and water solution for 10-15 minutes twice a day for 2 weks. The proportion of bleach to water used in this treatment is 2 to 3 capfuls of bleach to at least 1 gallon of water. More bleach – proportionately- is used in a swimming pool than in this solution. Beware, that this solution can dry the skin and cause shedding of the skin after a few days. – Terry Pfau, DO, HMD
