Anyone that has suffered from gout can testify of its exquisite pain. To just have the bed sheets touch the affected joint will send shooting pains through the area.
Gout is caused by an excess of uric acid in the body which then deposits as tiny, sharp crystals in joints- most commonly the base of the big toe. For people who have not found dietary changes effective there is another natural solution they can try.
Ten to fifteen mg of lithium orotate or gluconate twice daily and vitamin C 2 grams twice daily prevents recurrent attacks of gout. Vitamin C significantly reduces serum uric acid levels. And lithium makes uric acid more soluble so it doesn’t crystallize into painful needles or uric acid.
