Erythema nodosum is a type of skin inflammation that is located in the fatty layer of the skin. It results in reddish, painful, tender lumps most commonly located in the front of the legs below the knees. The painful nodules can be as large as 3 inches. In some patients this disease can go on for years. Last week I received a call from a former patient that was now living in Ohio who wanted me to treat her chronic sinus infections. She reminded me that I had seen her 15 years ago for her erythema nodosum. She had a particularly malignant form of the disease which left her legs very swollen and discolored a yellowish blue. Despite going to many specialist the only solution they had was to put her on prednisone for the rest of her life. I don’t remember which homeopathic remedy I treated her with but she said within a week all her lesion were gone and have never returned. Over the years I have treated several cases of erythema nodosum all with good outcomes thanks to homeopathy. Terry Pfau DO, HMD
